Thanks to all who came out and ran to support Shane Miles’s fight against cancer! We were so happy to see so many runners and their friends attend the race and the after party/fundraiser at the Brewing Station.
For many years, Shane Miles of the Outer Banks Running Club has been supporting the fight against cancer through his signature Relay For Life event, the Cupcake 5K each May. The Brewing Station has been glad to donate food each year for the after party.
We were saddened to hear that Shane himself is now battling this terrible disease that has affected all of us in some way. The Running club is having a Cupcake 5K on Saturday, February 22nd at 9 am at Aviation park (across from First Flight High School )to raise money to support this battle.
